Shade Vinique — two-ply paper, foil emboss and deboss
Wine & Spirits Labels
Labels for wine, spirits and liqueur bottles that carry the brand in textured paper, foil and embossing, and survive the ice bucket, condensation and the shelf. Clear film for the no-label look, wet-strength papers for chilled service, and roll specifications for the bottling line.
- Glass bottles of every shape: straight, tapered, flasks and decanters
- Wet-strength and ice-bucket tested papers; clear film for the no-label look
- Estate, laid, linen and cotton papers with foil, embossing and spot varnish
- Front, back and neck labels specified as a set for the bottling line
Tell us the container, the conditions and the line; we propose the construction and confirm it with samples.

Problems we solve in wine & spirits
What goes wrong between the bottling line and the table, and how the construction prevents it.
The label wrinkles in the ice bucket
Standard paper swells and lifts after an hour in iced water.
What we do: wet-strength paper with a water-resistant adhesive, or a film face stock with a paper look; samples tested in iced water before production.
Foil and embossing on a curved bottle
Heavy embossing and large foil areas crack or tunnel on tapered glass.
What we do: paper weight and embossing depth chosen for the bottle; foil and emboss areas registered and checked on a sample applied to your glass.
Front, back and neck labels must line up
Three labels from different runs do not match in colour or position.
What we do: the set printed together under one colour reference and supplied with roll specifications for each applicator station.
Clear labels show bubbles and edges
Clear film applied by hand or on the wrong line shows every flaw.
What we do: clear PET or BOPP with clear adhesive, applied on a line set for clear labels; white ink only where the artwork needs it.
