Challenges

Problems we solve in soap & bath

What soap makers ask us to solve.

Challenge

Water spots on paper labels

Bottles by the sink get splashed and uncoated labels bubble and mark.

What we do: film face stock with a matte lamination that keeps a paper look, or wet-strength paper for jars away from the tap; samples splashed and checked.

Challenge

Labels lift on kraft wraps

Kraft paper and recycled board reject standard adhesives.

What we do: high-tack adhesive on paper or film, tested on your wrap; seals sized to overlap the join without reaching corners.

Challenge

Oils in the product soak the label

Bars sweat oils that creep into the wrap and label.

What we do: varnished or laminated stocks on the contact side; an inner wrap where the bar is very soft.

Challenge

Many scents, tiny batches

Each scent is a different label in small quantities.

What we do: sheets with several scents ganged together on the same construction; one reorder covers the range.

FAQ

Questions about soap & bath labels

See All FAQs
Will a kraft label survive next to a sink?
For bottles near water we recommend a film with a paper look rather than kraft. For bars and boxes stored dry, kraft and textured papers work well.
Can I print on recycled or textured papers?
Yes. Textured, linen, cotton and kraft papers are in the sample pack; small text needs checking on each.
How small can a batch be?
Sheets suit handmade batches; several scents can share one sheet when the construction is the same.
Do you supply band labels for wraps?
Yes, cut to the length and width you specify, with a high-tack adhesive for kraft and recycled paper.
