Printed specialty-paper label roll with metallic detail.
Overview

Start with the paper surface.

This label family covers several specialty-paper looks. The paper grade, colour and texture are choices to make before setting the foil area and emboss profile; a photograph alone cannot establish the full construction.

Foil, raised detail and reverse UV can be specified. Keep each effect on its own artwork layer so their edges can be reviewed together. Approve the selected paper and finish on a physical sample.

Craft

Details to approve.

The material, artwork and finish work together. Review these decisions before production.

Select the texture

Choose the actual paper grade and colour from a sample. Grain, absorbency and surface relief change the way fine print and metallic detail appear.

Separate foil from print

Supply a clearly labelled foil layer. Check small lettering, gaps and the distance between foil and the cut edge before tooling is approved.

Balance the relief

Embossed and reverse-UV details need their own artwork masks. Confirm how much relief the selected stock and final label shape can support.

FAQ

More label FAQs
Are all specialty papers waterproof?

No. Papers in this family have different constructions. Specify moisture, chilling and handling conditions and test the exact selected paper with its adhesive and finish.

Can foil and emboss appear in the same design?

Both can be specified. Their registration and relief need to be reviewed together on the selected stock; the production method is confirmed with the proof.

How do I choose a paper from a photo?

Use the photo to describe the look, then request a physical sample of the exact paper grade. Texture and colour should be approved in person.

What artwork layers are needed?

Provide the print artwork, cut line and separate labelled masks for foil, emboss and reverse UV where required.

Can a textured label wrap around a small bottle?

Share the bottle diameter and proposed label size. A sample application checks whether the stock, relief and adhesive work on that curve.
