Clear PVC White-Ink Labels

Transparent PVC labels with white ink where your artwork needs opacity, and clear areas where the packaging should show through.

  • Clear PVC film; grade and thickness confirmed in the quotation
  • Foil · reverse UV · varnish
  • Sheets or rolls; packing and winding agreed before production

Your artwork, selected stock and final construction are approved together before production.

Clear-film whisky label with printed and raised-looking artwork.
Overview

Plan what stays clear.

A clear label has no white background of its own. The white-ink layer defines opaque lettering, logos and colour areas. Leave unprinted areas clear where the container should remain visible.

Send the artwork with white ink on a separate layer. We review its coverage, the colour layer and any varnish or foil together, then approve the appearance on your chosen container. The printing sequence is agreed for the finished design.

White ink

Decide what stays transparent.

Give white artwork and white backing their own clearly labelled layer. Approve both on the actual pack, with the colour print and any finish.

With white backingA white layer provides an opaque background beneath selected colour areas. Its coverage and opacity are approved by proof.
Without white backingThe packaging and its contents show through the colour print. The result changes with the background beneath the label.

Details to approve.

The material, artwork and finish work together. Review these decisions before production.

Map the white ink

Mark both visible white artwork and white backing beneath colour. Fine text and codes need enough contrast against the product inside the pack.

Choose the surface finish

UV printing, foil, reverse UV and varnish can be specified. Select the finish for the artwork, then check registration and surface contrast on a proof.

Check the clear edge

Confirm the cut line, corner shape and application method. A clean, smooth container and a trial application help reveal bubbles or a visible adhesive edge before production.

FAQ

Before you order.

More label FAQs
Does the entire label need white ink?

No. White ink can be limited to selected areas. Mark what should be opaque and what should stay transparent in the artwork.

Is this printed in reverse?

The layer order depends on the construction and the viewing side. Confirm it during proofing rather than assuming every clear PVC label is reverse printed.

Can I specify a clear label for a chilled bottle?

Share the bottle surface, application temperature and service conditions so the film, adhesive and finished print can be selected and trialled together.

Can the label carry a barcode or QR code?

Include the final code and its intended size. We review the background and print contrast; scan the approved proof on the actual pack.

What should I send for a quotation?

Send the artwork, dimensions, quantity, container photo, required finish and delivery destination. The quotation confirms the selected construction, minimum order and schedule.
