Clear PVC Foil-Accent Labels

Transparent PVC labels with selected metallic accents, leaving clear areas around the design so the packaging can remain visible.

  • Transparent PVC film; exact grade to confirm
  • Clear areas, colour and metallic detail separately identified
  • Confirmed in the quotation; state how the labels will be applied

Your artwork, selected stock and final construction are approved together before production.

Overview

Separate the clear areas from the accents.

The clear face gives the packaging a role in the design. Mark the areas that should remain transparent, the printed colour and any metallic detail as separate decisions.

Choose black, colour or white print and the required gold or silver foil detail. Keep the foil mask separate from the print, then check its shade and registration on a physical film sample.

Craft

Details to approve.

The material, artwork and finish work together. Review these decisions before production.

Map transparency

Show which areas should remain unprinted and whether any colour needs an opaque backing.

Define the metallic mask

Provide the metallic detail as a separate layer, with its intended colour and relationship to the cut edge.

Proof on the container

The appearance changes on clear, dark and coloured packaging. Review a finished proof on the chosen surface.

FAQ

Before you order.

More label FAQs
Is every gold-looking area hot foil?

A photograph does not establish the process. Confirm the selected metallic effect and its production method in the quotation.

Do clear labels need white ink?

Only the areas that should be opaque need an agreed backing or white treatment. Identify those areas when submitting artwork.

Will it look the same on dark glass?

The background affects clear print and reflective detail. Approve the proof on the actual glass.

Can fine metallic text be used?

Submit final-size vector artwork. Review line detail and registration before approving the finish.

Can it be used on chilled packaging?

State the moisture, temperature and application conditions and trial the complete construction on the pack.
